Banquet for Ukraine

Dear Fellow SDA Church Member:

A member at Meadow Glade SDA church would like to invite your congregation to join our church in raising funds to support the rescue and relief efforts being done by Adventists in Ukraine right now.  We are hosting a very special Banquet for Ukraine and partnering with the House of Peace, a Russian-speaking, local SDA church.  We will be serving authentic Ukrainian food prepared by members from House of Peace.  They will perform beautiful, inspirational music from Ukraine in traditional costume.  Pictures of the country will be shown and encouraging stories of the Adventist work in the war zone will be told.
We hope that people from all over the county will be able to attend and enjoy this unique experience.

Event Name:  Banquet for Ukraine
Purpose: To raise funds for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine caused by war; directly help rescue, evacuate and provide food, water and medicine for those caught in this crisis
Event Type:  An elegant dinner and cultural experience with authentic Ukrainian food, traditional live music, pictures and stories of the work being carried out by courageous Adventist leaders in Ukraine.
Event Partners: House of Peace, Russian speaking SDA church in Vancouver; providing live music, pictures, stories and authentic food preparation.
Date:  April 24
Time:  5 p.m.
Tickets:  Limited seating. Get tickets at Eventbrite; no charge (please do not use the word "free").  Donations accepted at the banquet
Food for Purchase:  For those who cannot attend there will be To-Go food packets for sale after the banquet and the following day
Other Ways to Help:  Medical supplies donations will be packed and shipped to area hospitals and clinics in Ukraine.  Currently OHSU is sending supplies through the House of Peace SDA church to Ukraine.  There is still a great need for medical supplies.  It is easier (cheaper) to buy these in the country or those next to Ukraine, however, some organizations will only donate supplies and not money to a church (like OHSU).
