Momentum is a friend, when you have it. Momentum is really hard to get going some times. But when you have it it’s like having wind at your sails and taking you quickly to where you desire to go.
Right now, our youth program has exploded through the evangelism process. I’m used to relaxing immediately after evangelism. Not these kids, they want to keep going. So, we are going to continue to meet and continue to train for the next event. Our hope is that they would be able to do another evangelistic seminar this fall but each person speak 5-7 times instead of just once. This would require us getting 3-5 churches involved with the process. That’s the goal. and we have Holy Spirit momentum behind us.
To have a group of youth that are ON FIRE for God, ON FIRE for serving is an incredible opportunity. We plan to capitalize on it, pray for it and make sure it keeps going to the best of our ability. We are praying that this, a Holy Spirit moment, will continue to go forward in another Holy Spirit momentum push. To have a group of kids carrying the message of Jesus is incredible.
So… if the kids want to continue to be greeters and check people in, is that okay? If they want to continue to serve up front and preach periodically, is that okay? If they want to be in charge of the videography, sound or deacons, is that alright? Are we willing and able to let go and let them run the church even though it might be run differently? Are we willing to open up and let them really be full members of the church? Are we willing to guide them and shape them but let their energy run full and fast?
There ON FIRE!
This has been a Holy Spirit moment
We have the momentum
Will it continue? Please pray it does!
